  • Arrive with clean skin; pause retinoids/strong acids 3–5 days prior. 
  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanners for at least 1 week before treatment.
  • Discontinue use of retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or exfoliating agents for 5 days pre-treatment.
  • Inform the provider of any recent cosmetic treatments, medical changes, or active medications (especially blood thinners, antibiotics, or acne medications such as Accutane).

After Your Treatment
  • Mild pinkness may fade in hours
  • Makeup can be applied the same day
  • Daily SPF is essential to maintain results
  • Avoid direct sun, hot yoga, and saunas for 24–48 hours
  • Avoid the use of aggressive exfoliation, waxing, and products containing glycolic acids or retinols that are not part of the recommended take-home regimen in the treatment areas as directed by office staff
  • Apply broad-spectrum SPF 40+ daily and avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Maintain gentle skincare and moisturizer use to optimize results.
  • Follow any home-care regimen provided by Kleydman Dermatology staff.
