What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a medical-grade collagen induction therapy that uses precisely controlled, ultra-fine needles to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. These micro-injuries trigger your body’s natural healing cascade, leading to increased collagen and elastin, smoother texture, and more even tone over time.

We offer two main options:

Standard Microneedling – performed with a soothing glide serum to refresh the skin, improve tone and texture, and support overall clarity.
Microneedling with PRP (“Vampire Facial”) – combines microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), often nicknamed a “vampire facial,” from your own blood. PRP is applied into the microchannels and selectively injected to accelerate healing, amplify collagen stimulation, and enhance regeneration, especially in areas like scars or under-eyes.

Over a series of treatments, skin typically becomes firmer, smoother, and more radiant, with softened scars and refined pores.

Microneedling is ideal for patients who want a non-laser, minimal-downtime way to improve texture, scars, and early signs of aging— especially if they’re not ready for RF or CO2 resurfacing.

What To Expect

Everything You Need To Know About SkinPen Microneedling

Before Your Treatment

Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin on the treatment area.
Avoid retinoids, acids, scrubs, and other exfoliants for 3–5 days prior.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanner) for 1–2 weeks beforehand.
Inform us of any recent procedures, new medications, or changes in your health, especially if you are prone to keloids, take blood thinners, or have active breakouts.

During Your Treatment

We’ll cleanse the skin and apply a custom blend, high strength topical numbing cream to keep you comfortable.
For PRP sessions, a small amount of blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma.
The SkinPen device is passed across the skin in multiple passes; you may feel vibration and light scratching or pressure.
Depth is adjusted based on your concerns (e.g., lighter for tone and glow, deeper for scars).
If PRP is included, it is applied over the treated skin and/or strategically injected into specific areas such as scars or under-eye hollows.

Most SkinPen sessions take about 45–60 minutes, including numbing time.

What Else To Know

After Your Treatment

Expect mild redness, warmth, or tightness for 1–3 days, similar to a light sunburn.
A BioCellulose Mask is applied immediately after to calm, hydrate, and soothe the skin.
Avoid makeup for 24 hours (or until redness has significantly subsided).
Use gentle, hydrating skincare and broad-spectrum SPF daily; avoid scrubs, acids, and retinoids until we clear you.
Avoid intense workouts, hot yoga, and saunas for 24–48 hours.
When PRP is added, many patients feel recovery is quicker and more comfortable, with an extra boost in glow.

Light flaking or roughness can occur as the skin renews.

Treatment Details

Treatment Areas: Face, neck, décolleté, and select body areas (including stretchmarks)
Session Length: Approximately 45–60 minutes (including numbing)
