What can PRP help with?
Who PRP works best for
PRP may be a good option for patients who are noticing thinning or shedding but still have active follicles in the treatment area.
It is often considered for:
Men with early pattern hair loss
PRP may help support areas of early thinning, especially around the crown or areas where density is starting to decrease.
Women with thinning or decreased density
PRP may be helpful for widening part lines, reduced fullness, or early female pattern hair loss.
Postpartum shedding
For some patients, PRP may be considered when postpartum shedding does not fully recover or density remains noticeably reduced.
Patients using other hair treatments
PRP can often be paired with medical hair treatments, topical products, oral medications, or post-transplant maintenance when appropriate.
Treatment timeline
Is PRP right for your type of hair loss?
Hair loss can be caused by genetics, hormones, stress, postpartum changes, nutrition, medications, scalp inflammation, medical conditions, or a combination of factors. Dr. Kleydman will determine whether PRP is appropriate — or whether another treatment, lab work, medication, scalp care, or a combination plan would make more sense.
PRP tends to work best when follicles are still active, so if an area is completely bald or the follicles are no longer functioning, PRP is less likely to create meaningful regrowth.
