What Is Sculptra® ?

Sculptra® is a biostimulatory injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a collagen stimulator that helps your skin rebuild its own structural support over time. Instead of acting like a traditional filler that simply “sits” under the skin, Sculptra works by gradually triggering new collagen production, restoring thickness, elasticity, and lift from within.

As your body responds, the PLLA particles are slowly broken down and replaced by your collagen, leading to firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin with results that can last up to two years after a full treatment series. This makes Sculptra ideal for patients who want a subtle, progressive transformation.

Before Your Treatment

Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and other blood thinners for 24–48 hours, if medically safe to minimize bruising
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin if possible.
Inform us of recent cosmetic procedures, or medications, or health changes so we can treat you safely

After Your Treatment

Massage the treated areas using the “5-5-5 rule”: 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days, as instructed, to help ensure even distribution.
Expect mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising for a few days; these are typically manageable and temporary avoid strenuous exercise, hot yoga, and saunas for 24 hours.
Use broad-spectrum SPF daily to protect your investment and support healthy collagen.

What Else To Know

Doesn’t Treat

Instant wrinkle filling— if you want an immediate plumping effect, traditional hyaluronic acid fillers are usually a better fit.
Very fine surface lines only— Sculptra is best for deeper, structural changes rather than ultra-fine, superficial creases.
