What can dermal fillers help with?
Dermal filler may be considered when you are noticing volume loss, deeper folds, hollowing, or areas of the face that feel less supported than they used to.
Common treatment goals include:
- Softer, more hydrated-looking lips
- Cheek support and midface volume
- Under-eye hollowing, when appropriate
- Smile lines and marionette lines
- Jawline and chin balancing
- Temple hollowing
- Lower-face support
- Subtle facial balancing
During your consultation, Dr. Kleydman will assess where filler may help — and just as importantly, where it may not be the right choice.
What are Dermal Fillers ? (Juvederm + Restylane)
Dermal fillers made with hyaluronic acid (HA)— like Juvederm® and Restylane® are designed to restore lost volume, smooth folds, and enhance facial contours with a soft, hydrated lift.
Over time, we naturally lose fat, bone support, and collagen in the face. Fillers replace some of that lost structure, supporting the skin from beneath so lines look softer, features appear more defined, and the overall face looks more refreshed and balanced.
What filler does —
and what it does not do
Dermal filler is designed to restore or refine volume. It can help soften hollowing, support facial contours, improve proportion, and create a more refreshed appearance.
Filler does not tighten loose skin, resurface texture, remove pigmentation, or replace the need for neuromodulators, lasers, skincare, or collagen-stimulating treatments when those are better suited to your concern.
That is why every filler consultation at Kleydman Dermatology starts with an assessment. The goal is not simply to add volume — it is to choose the treatment that makes the most sense for your face.
Common Treatment Areas:
Lips
Lip filler can help refine shape, improve hydration, soften lines, and support more balanced proportions. The goal is not to make every lip look the same — it is to enhance your natural lip shape in a way that still feels like you.
Cheeks
Cheek filler can help restore midface support, improve facial balance, and soften the look of volume loss. This can be especially helpful when the face starts to look flatter, more tired, or less lifted over time.
Under-eyes
Under-eye concerns are nuanced. Hollowing, shadowing, puffiness, pigmentation, skin laxity, and texture can all make the area look tired.
For some patients, carefully placed filler can help soften hollowing. For others, a better plan may include PRP, laser treatments, skin tightening, skincare, or a combination approach.
An in-person assessment is important before treating this area.
Jawline and chin
Filler can be used to support chin projection, improve lower-face balance, and create more definition along the jawline when appropriate. This is often part of a facial balancing approach rather than an isolated treatment.
Smile lines and marionette lines
Filler may help soften deeper folds around the mouth by restoring support and volume in the right areas. In some cases, treating the cheeks or surrounding structure may create a more natural improvement than filling the fold directly.
Temples
Temple hollowing can make the face appear more tired or aged. When appropriate, filler can help restore subtle support in this area and improve overall facial harmony.
