Before Your Treatment

Avoid tanning and significant sun exposure (including self-tanner) on the area to be treated for at least 1–2 weeks.
Pause strong actives (retinoids, glycolic/salicylic acids, scrubs) on the treatment area for 3–5 days, as directed.
Let us know about any recent lasers, peels, microneedling, or changes in medication/health before your session.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin on the treatment area i f possible.

After Your Treatment

Protective eyewear will be placed over your eyes for safety.
The laser handpiece is moved in a sweeping motion over the skin, delivering gentle pulses of energy.
You’ll feel a gradual warming sensation, often described as a “warm light”.
Most patients find Laser Genesis very comfortable— no numbing is usually required.
Treatment takes about 20–30 minutes, depending on the size of the area.

What Else To Know:

After Your Treatment

Skin may appear slightly pink or warm immediately after, which usually fades within a few hours.
There is no peeling, crusting, or open skin; most patients return to work, errands, or social plans right away.
You can typically apply makeup the same day, if desired.
